the kids are bundled up this morning, they'll stay that way in the afternoon because still quite chilly out there. a few peeks of sunshine and the temperature at 48 degrees once again we're going to be struggling to get to the 50s. let's get a check now of the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. good morning. struggling to get to the 50s? oh my goodness. i'm not ready for the cold weather. if you are traveling on 95, fortunately there are no delays just south of route 100. it will be an easy ride headed to d.c. or traveling up north. and everything will remain nice and clear in downtown baltimore. this is what 95 looks like at 395. traffic moving right along. there are no delays right now through the fort mchenry tunnel, harbor tunnel also going to be clear and as we check in and take a look at the abc2 timesaver traffic drive times you'll notice the beltway going to be in great shape. normal conditions right now on the outer loop from 95 all the way up to 83. that stretch will take you just 11 minutes. and conditions are nice and clear over on the west side. looking at an 11 minute ride as well on the outer loop from 795 down to 95. megan and charlie, over to you. you can call it a natural

lauren cook. good morning. good morning lynette. it is certainly going to be pretty cold outside. and if you are traveling in howard county, we are dealing with bridge repairs on interstate 70. it's blocking one lane in both directions at route 40. fortunately no delays from columbia pike all the way over to 695. and as we check in and take a live look outside, here in the northwest corner of the beltway, traffic is moving right along. no delays from old court road all the way down to interstate 70. and if you are traveling the rest of the beltway no problems to report from parkville all the way up to towson. normal conditions just 11 minutes right now to travel the outer loop from 95 all the way up to 83. if you are using the jfx to get downtown, no delays whatsoever. you're looking at 11 minute ride as well traveling southbound from 695 all the way to fayette street. megan and charlie, over to you. two minutes after 5:00 right now. so close to graduating from high school but a crash in carol county ended a 17-year- old's life. abc2 news linda so is here to tell us how the community plans to honor the teenager. >> reporter: michael mcverry

was a senior another westminster high school. tomorrow night the varsity football team will dedicate the game to its family in the regional finals. police say alcohol or drugs was not a factor. he was riding in a car driven by an 18-year-old. their car crossed the lane and hit a dodge neon. the driver of the neon was treated and released. the driver is still being treated at shock trauma. neighbors say the crash was so loud they knew right away something terrible had happened. >> when the impact happened it shook my house and that was my first intention was okay, did someone hit the house or maybe some type of explosion happening down stairs in my basement or whatever. >> reporter: michael's friends plan to hold a vigil in his honor and counselors are on hand to help students, linda so, abc2 news. this morning, three days, three baltimore city police officers suspended.

the latest is for allegations of sexual abuse. roberto santiago won't be in uniform because of an investigation in harford county. he was suspended by city police back in june when he was accused of assaulting a neighbor. the one thing we don't right now is if officer santiago on suspension from that case or came back and was suspended again. a professor at morgan state is in trouble for fraudulently getting grants. he received $200,000 in funding for a highway project. prosecutors say that he falsely claimed on the application that a company he headed up would work on that project and had eight employees. he says that he would take time off from teaching at morgan state to work on the project. he's accused of using the monies to pay personal expenses. well, you watch the seat clearing fight here on abc2. we're now learning charges

against the mta bus driver won't be filed after this on camera fight that was taken by a passenger. spokesman terry owens with mta says police won't arrest the driver. the driver could still lose her job. she's been suspended without pay as they continue reviewing the case. general david petraeus has a lot to deal with right now. and extramarital affair that ended his career and the cia and now, he's going to have need to put all of that aside to focus on something else 678 tomorrow he's testifying in front of congress and it's all about the attack on our embassy in libya. we won't hear what happens and what petraeus says because the meeting will be before a closed door session of congress. they get underway today. the president is visiting new york city today to see the damage done by superstorm sandy. he's going to see it firsthand. president obama will neat with neighbors who are -- meet with neighbors who are recovering from the first responders who

after hearing that one. temperatures this morning are very cold. we can see freezing right now in northville. 32-degrees there and westminster at 36 and monrovia below freezing, 31-degrees and we are in the 40s if baltimore. 41 degrees. more of the same to tillman good morning to you at 43 degrees and chestertown at 38 degrees this morning. so you know ha this mean? s we're on the routine, we're on the roll. make sure you have the big coat out and about this morning. the satellite and radar not doing a whole lot and we have this clouds this morning. these clouds this morning keeping the of theres from -- temperatures from really dropping off but into the afternoon the clouds will stick around and temperatures are not going to be able to warm up. so once again, we are not going to get into the 50s in a lot of spots. the rain down to the south this morning, this will pretty much stay away from us. but the clouds kicking in as we head throughout the day. we can see what's going on on future trend. we have an area of high pressure that's off towards the west that's going to try to squeak in here but all in all, we are going to be watching this disturbance that's going
